HANDMADE FROM HIGHEST QUALITY POLISHED BONE (bovinae family)!!!

* Handcarved in the blended shape of a fish-hook and manaia focusing on details and smooth shiny finish

* Both sides of the pendant are sanded and polished into a beautiful work of art

* The Manaia is an ancient mythical being with a birds head and a human form. It is said to be the messenger between the earthly world of mortals and the domain of the spirits.

* The Manaia is a holder of great spiritual energy and is a guardian against evil.

* Hei-Matau or more commonly known as the Fish Hook symbolizes prosperity. Maori use fish in many of their traditional food dishes. Fish were so plentiful to the Maori that the simple ownership of a fish hook meant prosperity.

* The Hei-Matau (fish hook) also represents strength, determination and good health, as well as providing safe journey over water.

* Fish Hook is considered a good luck charm by travellers, boaties, fishermen and surfers.

* Pendant size: 1.8 inches (4.6cm) long; 1 inch (2.5cm) wide

* This pendant comes on an adjustable cotton string - fits all neck sizes!

* Cotton is durable and you can wear it while swimming or taking showers.

* condition: Brand New

* Carvings made of bone are soft and warm to the touch yet the finish is like polished glass, they seem to blend with your body and become a part of you, especially when warn as a pendant against your skin.

* Over a period of time bone carvings absorb oils from your skin and change colour to a very light honey gold. The Maori believe this is to be the carving taking on some of your spirituality or essence and thus truly becoming a part of the wearer.

* no-questions-asked money back or exchange guarantee!

Makes a great gift!

  1. Just a copy

    Yet another one. Not only is this a poor quality rip off of another artists design, they have even stolen the text from the web site where it was originally displayed. Why don't you try to something original rather than just ripping of real artists.

  2. My favourite neklace

    I wear it all the time and it feels like it´s really become a part of my body somehow. And even though I don´t believe in lucky charms, it seems to work! ;)
